    You are:

    The Research Scientist role reports into the Senior Research Scientist as part of the Digital and Data Solutions Team within Leadership & Culture (L&C). In this role, the research scientist will be supporting the development and analytics of L&C's psychometric data measurement portfolio. They will aid the research and design of L&C's proprietary psychometric measurements and insight frameworks. They will furthermore support the creation of collateral and publications showcasing the unique insights L&C is able to generate from its models, measurements, and data.

    The work:

    We are recruiting for a Research Scientist based in the UK. The nature of the work varies depending on business priority. However, examples of typical responsibilities are given below:

    Involved in the research, development process, and analytics of our core set of psychometric measurement tools.

    • Involved in the design and implementation of data capture processes, including the development of scoring algorithms.
    • Writing and reviewing of technical documentation.
    • Involved in completing research and analysis to ensure full adherence to test development principles.
    • Involved in the research program to ensure we are constantly evolving our thinking and contributing new thinking to the field and to our clients.
    • Analytics on psychometric assessments and their measurement properties.
    • Theoretical research around the concepts covered by L&C measurements and data analytics.
    • Collaborating with Product Managers and Implementation Specialists in Digital and Data Solutions team to design, deliver and maintain our tools.
    • Providing advisory to client-facing teams on how best to leverage our assessments.

    Expectations & Qualifications:

    Reflective of our entrepreneurial and flexible ways of working, we will be thoughtful of ways to flex the specifics of the role for the right candidate. It is likely that the successful candidate will have:

    • Experience of developing and maintaining psychometric assessments.
    • An interest and working knowledge in occupational psychology, talent management and / or assessment.
    • A degree in fields such as I-O Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Neuro Psychology, Statistics.
    • Understanding of how psychometric assessments are used in a commercial context.
    • Analytical skills using software such as R, MPlus, and SPSS.
    • Accurate with strong attention to detail and robust data management.
    • Strong IT literacy including advanced Excel, and confidence in working with digital solutions.
    • Ability to write about technical and complex concepts in a concise, simple, and accessible manner.
    • Ability to take the initiative and make practical decisions at pace.
    • High levels of organisation, prioritisation, and planning skills in managing multiple work streams.
    • Proactive problem solver with a solutions orientation approach.
    • Strong people and relationship management skills, with an understanding of working in interdisciplinary teams.

    Travel:

    This is a flexible role with a mix of home & office working days. Preference would be for the Research Scientist to be available for one or two days a week working in person in the London office, where commuting allows.
