Job Ttile: Security Operations Modernisation Senior Programme Lead

Role Purpose



  • The Security Operations Modernisation Senior Programme Lead will be a pivotal role in the ongoing shaping and successful implementation of our Security Operations modernisation strategy in Vodafone, helping to drive critical aspects of our Vodafone Business and Cyber Strategies to ensure we can deliver for both our internal teams protecting Vodafone's assets and customers, and to support Vodafone Business Growth.

  • The role will be responsible for delivering the most critical Cyber transformation programme for Vodafone. The role will work closely with teams across Vodafone's Cyber and Business teams and will require an experienced leader who can operate effectively in a complex and dynamic environment. The right candidate will be someone who has hands on experience in building Cyber Security operations and delivering the key supporting technologies incl. SIEM and SOAR.


What you'll do



  • Leading the Security Operations Modernisation programme and the priorities of a matrix team – including management of technical and business change plan milestones, budget and finance process.

  • Governance of key decisions and preparation of required programme materials – including SteerCo packs, supporting RFP materials

  • Lead and oversee the matrix project team within the Cyber & Vodafone Business organisation, continuously engage the team towards a common goal

  • Collaborate effectively with key teams in other technology areas and Vodafone Business teams – including local markets Heads of Cyber. Teams will include Strategy and Architecture in Cyber and IT, VBPS and VBTS, and the Vodafone Business Commercial teams.


Who you are



  • Track record of delivering in a complex & dynamic technology environment – particularly for Cyber Security Operations tooling (SIEM and SOAR)

  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to build effective relationships and navigate across levels and functions with ease and diplomacy, building trust and confidence.

  • Ability to create strong virtual & matrixed teams across all Vodafone global entities. Creating coaching and learning environments. Knowing when to offer support to others and when to take personal accountability.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) – demonstrable abilities of being able to distil complex concepts and ideas and representing them in an audience appropriate manner.

  • Proven ability to build an open team culture and lead teams with diverse skillsets – including experts in technical and solution architecture, agile delivery, software engineering and DevSecOps, Go to Market and Customer Operations.
