Your role

• Working as part of a team of industry specialists providing consulting services across major insurance clients, so you will quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and will begin to work to become an expert in your field
• Primarily focusing on the delivery of client work that will successfully fulfil and exceed client expectations and deliver engagement and programme objectives
• Supporting client deliverables, working in teams and starting to develop client relationships
• Actively contributing to the development of the Insurance practice team
• Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution

Assignments will be focused across the full spectrum of the Insurance Market be that General Insurance, London Market or International business and will include:

• Building the underwriter or broker of the future, transforming the way our clients assess and manage risk using new ways of working
• Creating insurance efficiency and automation, including Generative AI, digital tools, automation and more
• Challenging how insurers and claims handlers should assess losses in an ever evolving space, enabled by technology
• Delivering complex insurance transformations in the London Market, the General Market or Internationally
• Re-design the operating model to enable the organisation of achieving strategic ambitions
• Supporting our clients to shape and address their risk and regulatory agenda
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities to improve the profitability
• Structure and deliver digital transformation programmes to enable efficiency and growth benefits

Connect to your skills and professional experience

Essentials:

• Experience within a (re)insurer or insurance brokerage working closely with or in transformation or change, or a consulting firm with a focus on Insurance engagements
• Knowledge and understanding of the UK insurance industry and market, including macro trends (e.g. transformation drivers, regulatory, economic, and business factors) or disruptive technologies (e.g. Generative AI, a nd Digital) that are driving change and impacting business models of key institutions
• Experience of delivering or working small projects or transformations
• Excellent ability in Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent communication and people skills, with a strong emphasis on team working
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work on diverse teams with a diverse range of people
• An awareness of risk, how to mitigate risk and protect the firm's reputation
• “Can do" attitude with a real willingness to learn and participate
• Enthusiasm and passion for the delivery of market leading solutions that make a difference
• An understanding of the diverse requirements of clients and the need to work on projects in differing geographies and time zones

Desirable:

• Knowledge of business design and business architecture practices including process re-engineering or cost transformation
• Experience of working in Agile delivery frameworks, especially in Insurance environments including Scrum
• Ability to understand Project and Programme management disciplines including project plans
• Working to deliver high quality outputs and deliverables, delivering to strict time constraints

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). Our hybrid working policy

You'll be based in London with hybrid working. Our hybrid model enables our people to collaborate, connect and innovate in both a virtual and physical capacity. As well as remote working, you'll attend your local office, virtual collaboration spaces and client sites, depending on the requirements of the role.
