Responsibilities

  • Working with feature (high level business requirement) definition and analysis, including supporting detailed analysis of Wholesale Lending operational processes
  • Working together with technical and product experts and Operations Transformation teams to define the ‘to be' process to meet the business requirements
  • Defining the functional requirements (stories) needed to deliver the ‘to be' model
  • Analysing specific issues, propose solution options and communicate with the stakeholder group for decision-making
  • Collaborating closely with technical delivery teams to support subsequent design and build activity needed to meet the functional and business requirements
  • Developing a detailed understanding of the Wholesale Lending system architecture to enable identification/anticipation of impacts

Wholesale Lending Business Analyst

As a Barclays Wholesale Lending Business Analyst, you will be responsible for a key component of the Wholesale Lending Strategy which is the implementation of a new Loan Processing Application, Loan IQ. You will work as part of a team of Business Analysts, working closely with technical and product experts to deliver high-quality functional requirements for technical delivery across multiple work streams whilst ensuring adherence to standards and governance.

What will you be doing?

• Working with feature (high level business requirement) definition and analysis, including supporting detailed analysis of Wholesale Lending operational processes

• Working together with technical and product experts and Operations Transformation teams to define the ‘to be' process to meet the business requirements

• Defining the functional requirements (stories) needed to deliver the ‘to be' model

• Analysing specific issues, propose solution options and communicate with the stakeholder group for decision-making

• Collaborating closely with technical delivery teams to support subsequent design and build activity needed to meet the functional and business requirements

• Developing a detailed understanding of the Wholesale Lending system architecture to enable identification/anticipation of impacts

What we're looking for:

• Experienced Business Analyst with a technology focus; and experience of managing analysis to define future state processes and identify and analyse functional requirements

• Experience of engaging with a complex stakeholder group and working closely with technology delivery teams to deliver against requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Knowledge and understanding of Wholesale Lending products and business processes, including Financial Accounting and Risk Management (Credit or Market Risk)

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Degree level educated [or equivalent]

• Knowledge and understanding of loan syndication, origination, and trading

• Experience of managing requirements in Jira and documentation in Confluence

• Working knowledge and understanding of project management tools and techniques, including waterfall and agile methodologies

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
