Responsibilities

  • In this pivotal role, your extensive expertise as a seasoned project manager will be paramount as you orchestrate the meticulous planning, organization, and resource management necessary to achieve project objectives, within set timeframes and standards

About the role:

The project manager has responsibility for overseeing complex logistics projects from inception to completion, ensuring the seamless delivery of project objectives and requirements while maintaining timelines, budgets and high standards. The Project Manager will work with different areas of Ocado Logistics to deliver change and optimisation projects across the division and will be responsible for a portfolio of projects covering a variety of topics. The project manager will be part of the Programme Management team and will work across Logistics and with our retail partners and be able to bring them together to ensure projects are successfully delivered to best practice project management principles and governance.

They must possess a diverse set of qualifications, skills, and attributes essential for effective project management. These include exemplary leadership abilities, adept at fostering team cohesion, nurturing a positive team culture, and fostering collaboration, trust, and accountability among team members. A proactive and driven attitude is crucial, coupled with a self-motivated, results-oriented approach and a keen eye for detail. Ideally, the candidate would also have a strong understanding of logistics processes (including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution) and experience in the application of “lean / Sigma” techniques and a strong understanding of PPM tools.
