About the role:
The project manager has responsibility for overseeing complex logistics projects from inception to completion, ensuring the seamless delivery of project objectives and requirements while maintaining timelines, budgets and high standards. The Project Manager will work with different areas of Ocado Logistics to deliver change and optimisation projects across the division and will be responsible for a portfolio of projects covering a variety of topics. The project manager will be part of the Programme Management team and will work across Logistics and with our retail partners and be able to bring them together to ensure projects are successfully delivered to best practice project management principles and governance.

Juggling multifaceted projects, you'll adeptly navigate interdependencies across programs and departments, while proactively addressing risks, issues, and changes to maintain project trajectory. Your role demands adept decision-making to control scope, quality, schedule, costs, and resources in alignment with project objectives, all while championing continuous improvement and documenting lessons learned. Compliance with regulatory standards is paramount, as is fostering strong relationships and leveraging effective communication to align diverse stakeholders towards shared goals. The candidate should excel in problem-solving, utilizing data to identify and quantify risks and issues while devising effective mitigation strategies. Ideally, the candidate would also have a strong understanding of logistics processes (including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution) and experience in the application of “lean / Sigma” techniques and a strong understanding of PPM tools.
