  • maintain confidentiality and professionalism when using or reviewing operational information that may be sensitive – this may include information relating to individuals or the operational performance of a business unit.
  • continued identification, development, of improvements and efficiencies to services and processes through agile project management methodology, supporting the drive for operational excellence by contributing towards the performance of a variety of key tasks within a playbook or scope of work
  • promote a positive attitude to personal development and investment in learning, commitment to enhancing personal knowledge of the teams overall offering to its clients and department best practices.

The PM CoE has moved on from being an engagement support centre of just 50 people to now identifying as a Centre of Excellence with circa. 300 professionals. The department is constantly evolving and still growing, it is fast-paced and varied comprising junior associate grades through to senior project and operational management and directors. All members of the department work together and alongside the Audit & Assurance practitioners to deliver high-quality outputs on the client and internal engagements. The team members remove the admin burden on the wider A&A team by utilising experience and knowledge to undertake the service offering to a high standard.

The department boasts a clear career pathway allowing professional and driven individuals to work along a progression trajectory from associate to assistant project manager in four years, including formal Prince II practitioner accreditation.

The PM CoE supports our audit and assurance practitioners with project coordination and administration. The operations & business support team has ownership of a variety of critical tasks that support the PM CoE and wider firm leadership teams in the effective running of a department.

In your role, you will make a significant impact on the growth and success of the department. You will be expected to take responsibility for a wide range of tasks, while working alongside your peers and team leadership to deliver exceptional service to key stakeholders. The role will be varied, support is provided to any department sub-teams such as workload planning and allocation, operational reporting, learning & development, project management service deployment, and people operations.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Broad level of MS Excel knowledge:
  • data interpretation and manipulation using standard pivots and formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IF statements)
  • data presentation to include the creation of graphs, tables, etc

DESIRABLE:

  • Working knowledge of any of the following:VBASharePoint site creation/administration (incl. MS Teams)Workflow automation (Nintex)
  • Corporate and regulatory governance knowledge
  • Experience in a similar support associate/administrative role within a professional service environment
  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process efficiency training
