Responsibilities

  • Executing life cycle notifications from Agent Banks with respect to agreed terms of facilities, including: drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, wire transfers & treasury funding
  • Working closely with the India Settlements Team to ensure any handoffs are smooth and no gaps
  • Overseeing the processing of complex Distressed and Illiquids restructures, partnering Loan Closing and Product Control to accurately book balance sheet and P&L transactions
  • Remediating Front Office Back Office and P&L cash settlement breaks on Distressed and Illiquids and work with key stakeholders to maintain the integrity of Trading Desk's P&L
  • Overseeing all Distressed and Illiquids KRIs - setting targets and ensuring resolution to high standards
  • Developing and exercising business plans, policies and procedures, and lead projects, offer innovative solutions, process improvements and cost saving opportunities

EMEA Loan Settlements and Servicing

Glasgow

As a Barclays EMEA Loan Settlements and Servicing, you will be working as part of the Loan Settlement team who play an integral role in booking and servicing all loans traded on the secondary market by Barclays for EMEA. Within this role, you will have oversight and management of the Distressed and Illiquids loan trade settlement. This is an exciting opportunity to manage volumes with team planning whilst also managing controls and key risk indicators.

What will you be doing?

What we're looking for:

• Experience working within a loan trading/loan settlements process

• Demonstrable people management experience

• Excellent understanding of the loans business including distressed loans

• Experience with accounting and reconciliation is a plus

• Competent at handling demanding relationships with business units and clients

• Must think and resolve potential issues for future processing while being able to work in a team environment
