The Tax and Legal practice at Deloitte is offering an exciting opportunity to join and work in one of the largest tax teams in the UK.

We work with leading local and national businesses, offering you the opportunity to expand and develop your own knowledge and skill set by working across the full range of the Tax and Legal offering.

The Tax and Legal practice prides itself on operational excellence and you will play a big part in this with the role having a particular focus on cash and billing.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Partners and team members in the Business Tax group to drive the financial performance of their client portfolio. The work will be varied and will involve working with a variety of teams in order to assist the Leadership Team with achieving the financial targets of the group.

Connect to your opportunity

• Working closely with the Partners to understand and manage the financial aspects of their client portfolio
• Support and drive the client billing process in liaison with our billing team
• Act as a point of contact for Partners and other relevant parties for ad-hoc billing queries
• Work with firm teams to ensure billing and debtor management is being conducted in line with best practice
• Assist with generating reports alongside our internal Finance teams
• Supporting the business on financial performance management matters

• Previous experience of working within a finance function is essential
• Experience of working with financial software such as SAP
• Strong communication skills and an ability to liaise effectively with teams around the UK and internationally

• Ability to deal with a number of tasks, prioritising and responding as appropriate
• Strong understanding of client processes and internal teams
• Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). You'll be based in London with hybrid working. Our hybrid model enables our people to collaborate, connect and innovate in both a virtual and physical capacity. As well as remote working, you'll attend your local office, virtual collaboration spaces and client sites, depending on the requirements of the role.
