Our aim is to ensure that Deloitte Insights' thought leadership connects with what senior executives care about and need to know, and offers them new ideas, relevant data, and actionable insights. We publish 400+ thought leadership pieces annually, including articles, research reports, data visualizations, videos, and podcasts.

The assistant editor is responsible for reviewing and revising content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, readability, flow, and adherence to the Deloitte Insights style guide and AP Stylebook.

  • Working with editors, production editors, designers, web developers, thought leaders, and research professionals on thought leadership projects including articles, research reports, data visualizations, videos, and podcasts
  • Supporting the creation and publication of thought leadership projects from across Deloitte's global network of member firms, aligned to client priorities including growth, digital transformation, sustainability, and more
  • Managing quality control; copyediting and proofreading content for grammar, punctuation, readability, flow, and typos; and ensuring that content pieces are consistent with Deloitte Insights' global style guide

Connect to your skills and professional experience

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in journalism, communications, English literature, or similar) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in copyediting/proofreading business content; experience with business journalism or corporate thought leadership preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of business concepts and terms
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills (American English, Deloitte's global standard)
  • Exceptional knowledge of English grammar and AP style
  • Excellent attention to detail, laser focus on quality, and ability to consider the big picture
  • Strong interpersonal skills—including listening, responsiveness, flexibility, initiative, decision-making, conflict resolution, and tact—and the ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with authors to help improve their work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and workflow and collaboration tools such as Workfront, Microsoft Teams, etc.; knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and content management systems; knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager preferable
