Responsibilities

  • Ensure content is presented clearly and concisely
  • Promote key trends and content in a creative way
  • Work closely with SBU KM resources to take SBU case studies and make them relevant to (One) A&M
  • Develop a deep understanding of our channels to market and key clients
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across our Business Units
  • Understand the context of the content available in our core systems and how to query bespoke platforms to produce valuable insights for business leaders
  • Produce credentials that reflect our cross disciplinary abilities
  • Upload and save bespoke output to a variety of platforms, ensuring that metadata is applied meticulously
  • Work with the Management Analytics team to identify areas where data can be enhanced to produce better outcomes
  • Liaise with the Data Analyst to periodically review and refine data relationships and mapping processes
  • Produce ad hoc business reports and presentations based on Business Intelligence data
  • Perform logic checks at every step to ensure consistency and high quality support
  • Develop reusable templates for delivering information in an impactful way

Description

Alvarez & Marsal provides premium, responsive and seamlessly integrated multi-disciplinary lines of service to local markets on a global scale. Our business units are expanding and we need to provide additional integrated support to our Managing Directors and Business Development teams. This role will play a key part in an exciting new project aimed at connecting our experts with data that sits across multiple business units and platforms.

The Librarian will sit in the Operations team and report to the Intranet Manager EMEA in London. Operations is home to a number of smaller teams including Knowledge Management, Internal Communications, Marketing and the Insight Center. Close collaboration with these teams is expected as they work to provide pivotal information to their clients – our Strategic Business Units.

The successful candidate will be somebody who has a passion for:

· Developing business opportunities by connecting people with information

· Interrogating data to provide insights for business leaders

· Driving collaboration across multi-disciplinary lines of service

· The desire and creativity to communicate trends in new and innovative ways.

The successful candidate will respond to requests from in-house customers looking to develop solutions that sit across our various business lines. They will query our specialist platforms, connecting the dots between industry, markets and clients, convert the data into valued information and provide bespoke insights and credentials. Always aiming to deliver above and beyond the scope of an original request, the candidate will need to build a deep understanding of our clients, partnerships, products and services in order to be successful in the role.

The Librarian will need to build strong relationships with Business Development Mangers and MDs and will produce credentials for A&M EMEA that reflect our cross-service offerings. They should be able to identify trends, growth areas and new markets. Their research and analytical skills should be second to none and someone who is curious and innovative would be ideal for the role.

What you bring:

· English speaker with a second language an advantage

· Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related field

· Relevant work experience in a similar role

· High degree of understanding of business models and practices

· Ability to identify patterns, trends, areas for development from analytical data

· The ability to organise and prioritise tasks, and to manage concurrent small projects

· Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

· Experience querying and getting results from platforms and systems, in particular Power BI

· Comfortable analysing data and communicating it in a business context.
