We are seeking an experienced business partner to assist with budgeting, provision of monthly MI, strategic planning, and stakeholder management. Ideally the candidate will have experience of working with IT professionals and working to tight deadlines.

We currently have an opportunity available for someone to join the Enabling Functions Finance team as Business Partner for Technology & Digital Services and IT Infrastructure.

The suitable candidate will be an experienced accountant with a background of a large, complex organisation or a professional services firm and ideally experience of working with IT professionals.

They will be required to work closely with senior stakeholders across IT areas across the firm providing insight on financial results, strategy and budgeting.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing Insight and analysis on financial results to senior stake holders
• Working with Stakeholders within the wider IT function to produce the annual budget and regular financial forecast
• Production and Analysis of monthly and quarterly reports
• Representing the UK firm at pan European IT function meetings
• Ensuring all reports are sent out promptly and are of a professional standard
• Ensuring workflows and approvals reflect business structures and are appropriate
• Providing insight and analysis on the relevant functions on financial matters to stakeholders across the firm
• Influence decision-making of the relevant functions leads by assessing risks and opportunities to improve key financial and non-financial metrics
• Where required assisting financial control with closure of the monthly management accounts
• Identify and drive longer-term cost optimisation opportunities
• Assist the wider finance team to eliminate pressure points within the department
• Driving greater consistency and eliminating ambiguity in reporting and approach across the IT areas
• Ad hoc tasks and projects

Connect to your skills and professional experience

We would expect a successful candidate to have the following experience and qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with relevant experience, ideally with exposure to IT business areas
• Exposure of working with IT business areas
• Experience of working within a shared services environment
• Strong commercial experience with the ability to see beyond the confines of the traditional Finance area
• Demonstrates relationship management skills and ability to challenge and influence decision making among senior stakeholders
• Significant experience managing a large and complex set of stakeholders
• Significant experience in managing multiple demands on time
• Excellent oral & written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
