JOB TITLE: Operational Resilience Scenario Exercising & Response Manager

SALARY: £62,874 to £69,860

LOCATION(S): Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Halifax, Edinburgh, Glasgow

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week presently, or 40% of our time, at one of the team hubs.

Are you looking for a new challenge in your career? Join us as a Manager in the Group Operational Resilience Scenario Exercising and Response team.

The team is responsible for designing and delivering the Group's Operational Resilience Scenario Exercising strategy across our Important Business Service (IBS) Framework and Critical Third Parties. We provide central coordination of the Group's Remediation activity to provide oversight across the vulnerability life cycle.

You'll lead on the implementation of a range of initiatives against the strategy, to strengthen the way the Group responds to severe but plausible disruptive events, and delivers resilient outcomes for the Group, our customers / clients and the UK Financial Markets.

As an Operational Resilience Scenario Exercising & Response Manager you'll:

  • Support shaping and delivering the Group Scenario Exercising Strategy and engagement model across the Group exercising landscape.
  • Analyse inputs (i.e. risks, incidents, vulnerabilities, IT material change, annual assurance assessments, threat landscape etc.) to inform the scenario testing scope.
  • Coordinate and facilitate workshops with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) & Critical Third Parties to detail the end to end recovery timeline which includes the impacts, controls, response & recovery capability to ensure service can be maintained.
  • Produce scenario testing reports and co-ordinate sign off from appropriate partners.
  • Present vulnerabilities, identified through scenario testing, to Business / Platform Teams & Pillar Leads for validation.
  • Governance and reporting of the vulnerability life cycle

What you'll need:

  • Customer centric mentality and ability to understand sophisticated issues quickly to provide appropriate challenge to SMEs to influence decision making.
  • Strong leadership and partner management skills, including ability to inspire, influence and negotiate.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication styles in aid of different audiences and influence senior leaders.
  • Experience in defining and/ or carrying out scenario exercising across a large organisation.
  • A good understanding of the regulatory requirements and interested about the topic of operational resilience.
  • Ability to evolve and mature existing testing strategies by raising and progressing new insights and solutions.
  • Deep technical data analytic skills with experience of data interpretation across multiple data sources and translating these into practical insights, recommendations, and advice to influence decisions on testing requirements.
