Job description

What does the role involve?

In the BSP team, we try to focus on identifying and implementing continuous improvement and automation to ensure the wider sourcing team can concentrate on adding benefits. We provide information, guidance, and advice to support business decisions that enable the partners to gain a full understanding of the processes and the implications linked to their decisions.

Working across all areas of the team:

  • You'll provide input to the support of colleagues using the BSP via coaching, discussion and answering queries, producing, and maintaining guidance documents and tools, and through the development and delivery of specialist training and tailored guidance to embed practices within key partner groups including Sourcing Managers, Supplier Managers, Risk teams, Legal etc.
  • You'll also support the preparation of reports and information for key meetings, the engagement with stakeholders and the organisation of forums and meetings with a wide range of collaborators.
  • You'll support the conducting quality assurance and due diligence on sourcing activity, to identify, review, and evaluate performance and compliance to process/policy, and risks to the Group. This will include selecting and conducting monthly quality assurance reviews of current sourcing projects and working with colleagues to improve those records and build their awareness of what good looks like.
  • You will identify trends from QA activity and MI to feed into the continuous improvement of the process, providing this into the leadership team to shape and guide the ongoing operating strategy.
  • You'll get involved supporting the design and delivery of changes to the BSP, which will be run through agile sprints.

Key skills:

  • You will have excellent attention to detail and whilst some experience of working with third parties in either supplier management or sourcing is preferred, we will also consider colleagues with good transferrable skills and experience of quality assurance/audit.
  • You'll be a good communicator; having evidence of communicating with different audiences and producing clear visual presentation of data/material.
  • You'll have experience of supporting the organising of meetings, producing materials for presentation, and clearly recording the output.
  • You're an independent and adaptable individual – keen to learn new skills & knowledge in varying circumstances and will be able to remain calm and focussed working to constrained timescales.
  • And you'll relish the opportunity to embrace a fast moving and evolving team where you can develop your skills to build collaborative relationships cross-Group and externally.
