Role: Product Owner - Fintech and Emerging Technology

Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

• Lead a team of highly talented engineers and designers to envision, prioritize and build innovative digital products that will shape the industry for a new generation of tech-savvy customers.
• Build and maintain partnerships with external fintech companies, startups, and technology providers.
• Work closely with business sponsors to identify key pain points and to collaboratively design and build solutions that delight customers and empower internal staff using emerging technologies.
• Ensuring that the team is staying updated on the latest trends, technologies, and developments within the fintech and emerging tech landscape.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for integrating cutting-edge solutions and enhancing our financial services.

Key Accountabilities of the role:

• Research, analyze, and evaluate emerging fintech trends, including blockchain, AI, machine learning, digital currencies, and others.
• Build and maintain partnerships with external fintech companies, startups, and technology providers.
• Lead or contribute to innovation initiatives and related to fintech and emerging technology.
• Identify KPIs and use them as a cornerstone for team focus and priorities
• Collaborate with product, development, and business teams to identify areas for technological advancement and enhancement of financial products/services.
• Innovation in Products with cross-functional teams and think creatively to deliver first class digital solutions that create rapid impact for employees, customers or advisors
• Collaborate with Design, Technology, and POs to implement fintech solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and risk management.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and compliance requirements related to fintech and emerging technologies.
• Provide subject matter expertise and training to internal teams, ensuring a deep understanding of fintech tools
• Prepare and present product visions and proposals to the leadership team when required
• Gain an in-depth understanding of customers and users and gather key insights that will shape the digital experience
• Manage expectations with business sponsors and company executives
• Define MVPs, manage product backlog priorities, and strategically de-scope to achieve rapid feedback cycles

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:

• Proven experience in fintech, emerging technology, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain, AI, machine learning, digital payments, and other relevant technologies.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance in the context of emerging technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Deep experience in Digital Product development and marketing
• Experience with designing creative, quality consumer products, as well as enabling capability and objectives through technology
• Experience of operating within a multi-channel/multi region brand
• Knowledge of Lean and agile software development processes

Previous experience:

• 7+ years of total experience including 3+ years leading product development and digitization
• Worked using lean and agile software development processes
• Implemented Digitization of Processes using Fintech solutions
• Experience of operating within a multi-channel/multi-region brand
