    Ocado Logistics is the beating heart of our UK business, comprising a network of cutting-edge warehouses, spokes, and offices across the country. Our Dordon Customer Fulfilment Centre (Ocado CFC2) is around 350,000 square feet and boasts world leading technology. At full capacity we will fulfil between 190,000 - 200,000 customer orders a week from this one site alone, which requires 24/7 operation and a dedicated team.

    About the role

    We are excited to announce that we have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager at our CFC Dordon site. Operations Managers lead the business unit teams in successfully operating and optimising Ocado's platforms to deliver maximum client and customer value . They are key to the bottom line performance of the operating region and driving a positive employee experience. Accountable to the Senior Operations Manager for their personal and team performance, Operations Managers lead and motivate, to drive and develop all aspects of business unit activities on site and on the road. Living and breathing our 5 Pillars; Safety, People, Customer , Delivery, Cost. Operations Managers provide motivation and drive excellence in all that we do. It is the responsibility of the Operations Managers to effectively plan resource in line with budgets and business objectives.

    About you

    You are an experienced manager who has qualified in either IOSH Managing Safety or Managing Safety at Ocado. Lean / Six Sigma Experience You have worked in a 24/7 product conscious environment and have knowledge of a computerised warehouse management system and current Health and safety practices. You are used to working in, and championing a Continuous Improvement environment and have very strong verbal communication, written and numeracy skills as well as high levels of PC/Microsoft Literacy. You are able to lead, motivate and support large teams within a time sensitive and demanding operational environment whilst preparing budgets and plans and contributing to setting the site and regional strategies. You have a passion for developing people with a proven track record of spotting and nurturing talent demonstrable through formal talent mapping and succession planning.
