Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to managers and colleagues throughout the business with regard to Risk Assessments, COSHH, Induction, Policy, Protocol and Procedures
  • Assist the Office Managers within EMEA to manage and monitor standards, processes, communications and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to
  • Undertake general admin duties to ensure the smooth running of the Health & Safety function
  • Prepare reports and presentations in various Microsoft Office formats
  • Assist with management of internal comms including the H&S intranet pages
  • Manage the H&S Committee Meetings including preparing the agendas, writing the minutes and follow up of actions agreed
  • Maintain register of planned preventative measures and maintenance
  • Work closely with Office Managers and HR to identify problems and manage risk

Health & Safety Officer 12 months FTC - London

We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our team. Based in London but will be required to travel to UK regional offices as well as liaising with our offices within EMEA.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Safety Officer to contribute to the overall safety culture of our firm and will report to the London Office Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Office Managers within EMEA to manage and monitor standards, processes, communications and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to.
  • Provide guidance to managers and colleagues throughout the business with regard to Risk Assessments, COSHH, Induction, Policy, Protocol and Procedures
  • Maintain register of planned preventative measures and maintenance
  • Work closely with Office Managers and HR to identify problems and manage risk
  • Undertake general admin duties to ensure the smooth running of the Health & Safety function
  • Manage the H&S Committee Meetings including preparing the agendas, writing the minutes and follow up of actions agreed
  • Maintain health and safety records including booking training e.g. First Aiders, Fire Marshals
  • Prepare reports and presentations in various Microsoft Office formats
  • Assist with management of internal comms including the H&S intranet pages

Experience and Qualifications

  • NEBOSH (Diploma) and professional Membership and Chartered Member of IOSH
  • Experience as a Safety Officer in an organisation of a similar size
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation
  • DSE qualified
  • Mental health first aid certification would be beneficial
  • Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills, using all platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
