Security Engineer Job Description

With the growth of the business globally we are expanding ourGlobal Security Office(GSO) and are looking to recruit aSecurity Engineerto join the team in London. Reporting to the GSO SecEng Manager, you will come from a Security Engineering background with experience as an administrator of the platforms from at least one of the following three lists:

1) Vulnerability Management Optimisation (e.g., Kenna. VM/Cisco Vulnerability Management, Nucleus, Rapid 7, Armis other similar Vulnerability Management Optimisation platforms also accepted).

2) Microsoft Defender Stack - Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB), Azure MFA), IBM QROC/QRadar.

3) Mimecast Email security gateways, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, OnDMARC/DKIM/SPF, Varonis DatAdvantage, Darktrace.

The Responsibilities

• Assist GRC with performing vendor assessments and technical security risk reviews.
• Contribute to the technical design of security systems and services to meet organizational needs whilst managing risks.
• Day-to day administration of numerous security platforms used by SecEng and SOC teams.
• Work closely with Project Management/Change Control to deliver new solutions and ongoing system upgrades/enhancements.
• Research and apply innovative security solutions to new or existing problems.
• Support and collaborate with other security teams (SOC & GRC) towards a unified vision.

The Requirements

• Prior experience in Security Engineering and track record in carrying outtechnical security risk assessments.
• Good understanding for how toassess third-party suppliers of cloud/SaaS based technology platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in a security related field is preferred (i.e., Security Analysis, Penetration Testing, Malware Analysis, Digital Forensics, Network Engineering, Computer Science).
• Strong technical knowledge across various Security Engineering pillars (Network Security, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, Email Security and Endpoint Security).
• Ability to participate in complex vendor troubleshooting calls and diagnose/resolve tool and policy issues.
• Knowledge of scripting languages is considered highly advantageous (e.g., Python, Bash scripting).
