Quality Engineer Chapter Lead
Location: Halifax
Salary: £85,255 - £100,300 DOE
Hours: Full – time
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity:
Drives quality throughout the change lifecycle whilst continually challenging, motivating, mentoring and supporting their team. Sets the strategic direction & best practice for QE for the lab. Undertakes multiple types of testing of complex code to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect, based on deep domain and technical expertise in hands-on test automation to modernise banking journeys.
They will be an advocate for Quality Engineering, providing a voice to Quality Engineers within the team, identifying and supporting their teams in resolution of impediments and issues as well as continually developing themselves with industry best practice and tooling. In a leadership role with a passion for mentoring and coaching people in a "player-coach" model.
Looks to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team, review the test code, development code to give feedback in improving the cycle time.

You have can-do attitude, interest in exploring technologies beyond your core skills, willing to learn, highly motivated and with a passion for working with people, working in a strong collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our applications. You also enjoy working closely with the product and other engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.
