Within the Homes Platform we're on a journey to transform our core technology and the technical capabilities of our colleagues. Over the last 2 years we have launched new digital journeys on modern JavaScript frameworks, developed detailed suites of customer journey and analytics, transitioned workloads onto the Cloud and incrementally modernised and simplified our technology estate, whilst embedding DevOps and Agile working practices to enable feature teams to autonomously deploy changes to production themselves.

Lloyds Banking Group is the largest provider of Mortgages in the UK, with over 2 million active Mortgages. We have placed Mortgages at the heart of our strategy to become the best bank for customers.

  • Engineering solutions to be reliable, scalable, performant, and secure through adequate solution design, utilising endorsed technologies, applying common build patterns, and using established development practices. Engage Architecture and Technical Chapter Communities where needed to drive solution reuse, avoid complexity and creation of point solutions.
  • Seeking to better understand the work through planning, contribute to clear achievable goals, drive appropriate prioritisation, foster collective responsibility of ceremonies, call out impediments accordingly and to handle external dependencies adequately.
  • Taking hands on ownership for unblocking technical challenges and forward look to prove out new patterns and technical solutions ready for full use within your team, lab or platform. Where needed, act as a Chapter lead to drive cross platform strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborating with Agility Leads to advance the effectiveness of the team by installing change that increases the cadence of delivery, reduces cost ownership, and persists high quality of change. Champion the benefits of a single common framework over team specific practices.
  • Installing active application custodianship to manage incidents, compliance findings, risks and running costs where it's the right answer for the team to maintain production instances. Where it's not, ensure performing teams are equipped to succeed.
  • Working to build a strong team by coaching, developing and mentoring. Attracting new talent into the team and by mitigating retentions risks within the team.
  • Investing to develop your own technical and leadership skills.

As a successful Engineering Team Manager you'll bring:

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.

We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity, or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it is why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.

We're disability confident. So, if you would like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
