  • Providing private equity clients and private equity portfolio companies with both buy and sell side transaction operational and commercial due diligence
  • Designing and implementing value creation and growth strategies using the broad set of digital and non-digital skill base within Monitor Deloitte
  • Building and maintaining distinctive relationships with our private equity clients, and being a key client contact on engagements
  • Overseeing the day-to-day work of the Assistant Directors regarding the development and completion of the engagement scope and completion of client deliverables
  • Managing project budgets and maintaining operational margins whilst ensuring quality standards are adhered to
  • Leading and developing service offerings and evolving propositions to drive practice growth in the Private Equity sector

Your role will be to provide strategic, commercial due diligence and M&A expertise to private equity houses, private equity portfolio companies and financial institutions across all sectors.

You will deliver services ranging across, quantitative and qualitative commercial Due Diligence, market strategy, value creation strategy, M&A strategy and carve-out assessments, performance improvement evaluations, operational due diligence, value creation planning and synergy development and implementation of value creation plans across the digital and non-digital functions.

You will support and lead business development activities to grow revenue for the team and assist in achieving the ambitious growth targets in this area.

You will develop and augment your personal client network to drive the revenue growth agenda for Deloitte.

As a Director, you will have responsibility for:

  • Sourcing and winning work in the private equity space

Essential:

  • Strategy and Consulting background in a top quartile environment
  • Significant experience within Private Equity
  • Strong personal relationships with key Private Equity houses
  • Experience in leading, curating and delivering commercial Due Diligence for Private Equity
  • Demonstrable ability to convert Private Equity relationships into revenue generating projects
  • Clear ability to sell downstream and other Deloitte services into Private Equity clients
  • Full understanding of the risks and engagement and work delivery process issues of operating within restricted requirements given the Deloitte Audit practice.
  • Deep sector understanding of how Private Equity houses operate and transact
  • Multi year experience of developing and creating strategy for Private Equity houses to deliver value creation
  • Focus in, Life Sciences, Fin Tech, and Tech
  • Experience of operating in the upper mid market and large cap Private Equity space, revenue of £250M+
  • Experience across the full spectrum of M&A operations services (operational due diligence, operational performance improvement, value creation and synergies)
  • Experience of platform investments, roll up, buy and build and carve out strategies
  • Experience of, and creditability in, operating with senior level stakeholders in the private equity industry
  • Exceptional academic background
  • Excellent financial analysis skills
  • Ability to deliver Digital transformation programmes
  • Strong problem solving, business diagnostic and analytical skills
  • A strong understanding of business operations
  • Core experience of analysing and understanding financial statements particularly relating to operations and costs
  • Leading business development, from opportunity identification
  • Ability to delegate and manage others
  • Ability to priortise and deliver first class output despite conflicting demands on time
  • Demonstrable ability to build revenue generating client relationships across a number of stakeholders
  • Experience of being a leader as well as a key member for best in class projects for clients
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast paced often fluid work environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Top quartile ability to develop PPT decks and slides which clearly communicate messages and findings
  • Strong commercial acumen and project management capability with a track record of successful delivery

You'll be based in London ((or other office nationwide) for this role, however travel will be required for client projects. Whilst some clients are London based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully.) with hybrid working.
