Responsibilities

  • Overseeing strategic initiatives and programmes for Data Protection and DLP across the organisation, helping in solution design & implementation of governance frameworks
  • Acting as the front door and custodian for DLP MIP Labelling Classifications and policy definitions ,managing and recording risks efficiently
  • Running regular policy reviews with key stakeholders to ensure that DLP policies are reviewed by key stakeholders and that exceptions are understood, and are signed off
  • Assessing performance of Data Protection and DLP services by ensuring right level of performance metrics and Key Risk Indicators are in place and reporting accurately
  • Presenting at relevant Data Security Standard Council and DBMAG for updates on service performance
  • Contributing to the Data Security Vision and Platform Strategy and roadmaps for DLP Tooling
  • Building and maintaining close working relationsiop with key stakeholders in Cyber Ops, BU CISO, and wider stakeholders across Barclays, along with key vendors
  • Helping in Vendor Performance evaluation and recommending areas of improvements on regulatory, audit, assurance activities that relates to Data at Rest Scanning and DLP

Data Protection and DLP Service Lead

As a Barclays Data Protection and DLP Service Lead, you will have an exciting opportunity to lead the service management of Data Protection and Data Leakage Prevention Services. You will be responsible for Data Leakage and Data at Rest Scanning Policy Governance and you will take ownership of the lifecycle of Data Leakage Polices for the organisation. This will be an ideal role especially if you're someone with extensive experience in Data Protection, Data Governance, DLP, defining policy requirements, and monitoring performance and DLP risk.

What will you be doing?

What we're looking for:

• Excellent knowledge of DLP products including Vontu, Microsoft E5 Enterprise, MS Purview, Zscaler etc. Hand on working experience would be preferred, but not essential

• Good knowledge of data protection, information and cyber security and working with practioners within those fields

• Experience in supporting Security Incidents investigations

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience of working and dealing with regulators, auditors and internal risk and assurance partners.

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to write regular expressions for detecting patterns in word strings

• Ability to manage change and improve processes

• Knowledge of change management/process improvement methodologies

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
