As a simulation engineer you will work as part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team developing and maintaining predictive simulations, including Digital Twin and data science models, to solve client problems. To be effective in this role you will need a solid foundation of programming experience in a data-centric environment as well as some relevant experience of simulation engineering or data science.

• We are looking for a strong academic background such as a degree in a STEM subject and, for the Consultant role, further experience in simulation or a relevant data science/AI specific subject.
• You will also have a solid foundation of programming experience in Python, MATLAB or similar languages leveraging analytics and simulation to answer questions and solve problems.

We would love to hear from you if you have a passion and experience in some of these key areas:

Key Experience:

• Desire to solve the most difficult business and industry challenges using simulation, upskilling where needed and learn about the business impact of the work you do.
• Under guidance from the development lead be part of a development team building simulation models and data outputs appropriate for dashboarding
• Be confident designing new features at pace to enable the simulation to reflect the real-world environments
• Be part of a high performing and supportive team

Coding and Simulation:

• Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C++ or C#
• Confidence developing and maintaining Python simulation model code, including error handling/debugging and feature development.
• Data centric packages such as Pandas, Numpy, SimPy, Scikit-learn
• Able to produce and maintain production ready code
• Version control, for example using Git
• Conceptual and practical experience of modelling and simulation methods (discrete event simulations and agent-based modelling, engineering simulation)
• Experience using commercial engineering and simulation packages such as Matlab, Rockwell Automation, OPTANO, Siemens etc.
• Implementing and/ or architecting solutions on a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Visualisation (e.g. Tableau, Plotly Dash, PowerBi)

Other:

• Experience of working in Consulting environment or similar using simulation, digital twin and other predictive models to solve real world problems
• Ability to manage your own time
• Collaboration and working as part of a team
• Communicating technical information to non-technical audiences
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Logical thinking and problem solving

Personal independence
