We are seeking to hire Consultants in Scotland, at Experienced Consultant (Manager equivalent) and newly qualified level (Assistant Manager equivalent).

A role within the Business Tax team can involve:

  • Acting as the main contact for your client portfolio – building deep trusted client relationships and being responsible for quality, delivery and all aspects of client service on the engagement, including compliance and advisory services;

With the breadth and depth of our Scotland Business Tax Team, we are able to adapt the roles of our Consultants to fit with your particular skills and interests. This could be to give you the right balance between advisory and compliance work, or to enable you to focus in a particular industry (eg Financial Services or Energy & Resources).

They have deep experience in their corporate tax technical specialism but can adapt to the ever-evolving world at the leading edge of tax management consultancy.

To qualify for the role you should be/have:

  • ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Proven track of tax experience, in industry or a professional services firm.
  • Day to day management of a portfolio of clients.
  • Relationship management with key UK and International contacts.
  • Managing a team of individuals to deliver tax services to a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Delivery and management of tax advisory projects, potentially including international restructuring and refinancing, transfer pricing and M&A projects.
  • Managing and overseeing compliance and advisory projects, with regards to managing client and statutory deadlines, billing requirements, and delegating effectively to both UK and overseas teams.
  • Dealing with HM Revenue and Customs on technical matters.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
