Responsibilities

  • Develop short-term and long-term consumer marketing plans and budgets in line with brand marketing strategies and lead the execution of the plan.
  • Develop actionable insights to help protect older adolescents against Meningitis and apply them to the strategic commercial objectives.
  • Design, develop and execute Meningitis omni-channel consumer marketing strategy and tactics to achieve brand objectives.
  • Design, develop, execute and optimize the Meningitis consumer marketing media strategy and tactics to maximize impact against consumer & campaign objectives.
  • Measure campaigns, media, and KPIs. Partner with analytics teams to use data to optimize impact and efficiency of investments.
  • Partner cross functionally with other brand team members, commercial insights, medical/legal, agency partners, global commercial, etc. on strategy development and execution
  • Contribute to overall brand team marketing capabilities/competencies while leading a consumer marketing manager.
  • Lead agencies and teams to deliver brand team objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global to develop campaigns and adaptation for US Market

    The US Vaccines team is seeking a Consumer Marketing Director for Meningitis. The successful candidate will have a proven record of US consumer marketing strategy development and execution, leadership and commercial goal attainment. This is a highly visible and strategically important role for GSK as we look to launch our Pentavalent candidate vaccine. We are seeking an inspiring commercial leader and experienced consumer marketer who can lead the way!

    This role will be a leader within the marketing team for GSK's meningitis portfolio, reporting to the US Commercial Lead for Meningitis.

    You will be responsible for driving US consumer marketing strategy and execution, leading a team of cross-functional stakeholders, and maximizing ambition. You will be accountable for communicating, aligning, and delivering brand strategy and objectives for the meningitis portfolio, primarily focused on the launch of our Pentavalent candidate vaccine.

    Why You?

    Basic qualifications:

    • BS/BA, 6 years marketing or other relevant pharmaceutical commercial experience
    • 4+ years direct to consumer/patient marketing experience leading across agencies.
    • 4+ years of experience planning and executing a large media budget, including linear and non-linear TV, and all digital channels
    • 4+ years Brand management experience, including demonstration of scientific knowledge and competitive knowledge within therapeutic areas and individual assets.
    • Ability to work in the office a minimum of 2 times per week.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • MBA
    • 8+ years marketing or other relevant commercial experience
    • Vaccines experience preferred.
    • Launch experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated people leadership experience; seeks to continuously improve self, others, the business, and the organization.
    • Demonstrated expertise with non-traditional/innovative consumer marketing tactics for pharmaceutical brands, including social influencers.
    • Experience effectively collaborating and influencing in a highly matrixed environment both internal and external colleagues including those in a global commercial organization.
