The Securitisation Team, part of the Deloitte Financial Services Audit Group, provides transaction support, advice and assurance on controls and accounting systems and other advisory services to the Structured Finance Industry. We understand our clients' industry and the issues they face, and this enables us to provide them with relevant advice. The combination of our specialist skills, industry expertise and on-going investment in this area allows us to anticipate complex business problems for our clients and recommend appropriate action.

In response to the banking crisis, the structured finance industry is absorbing and implementing an enormous amount of new regulations and standards and, in many cases, causing it to make steep changes in governance, control, risk and financial infrastructure, policies and processes. Exciting opportunities exist for Associates and Senior Associates to work in the Securitisation Team. This group is achieving growth and is continually expanding its client base.

The successful candidates will assist in the provision of a range of different service offerings provided by the Securitisation Team, which may include:

• Project management of securitisation transactions carrying out internal take on procedures. drafting of engagement letters and reports and resolving any client queries.
• Assist our transactions team on due diligence type engagements in support of a variety of structured finance type transactions. This will involve the understanding of the assets and to confirm various data points to certain documentation and systems.
• Travel to client sites in order to complete agreed upon procedures testing.
• Ensuring completion of projects within agreed timescales.
• Budgeting time allocation to assignments and explaining variances from budget.
• Participation in other transaction support engagements.
• Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
• Assistance with business support activities including training, social activities, market research and ongoing client relationship development.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). Our hybrid working policy

You'll be based in the Cardiff or Leeds office with hybrid working. Our hybrid model enables our people to collaborate, connect and innovate in both a virtual and physical capacity. The role does require UK wide travel.
