Responsibilities

  • An exciting opportunity to join the UK Financial Planning & Analysis reporting team. The team is the hub of all reporting across UK finance, owners of key strategic finance systems supporting month end performance management and forecasting and Responsible for collating the one source of the truth.
  • You will be responsible for Management reporting for all areas of the Vodafone UK. This will include ownership, maintenance, and delivery of Month end and Forecast reporting. You will also be supporting the Budget and Monthly Rolling Forecast delivery of +£6bn Revenue, £1bn EBITDA by collecting inputs from the wider FP&A team and being responsible for submission into Local and Group systems.
  • The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and be comfortable working with large data sets, have a strong technical mind set, be a logical thinker and be able to understand commercial drivers underpinning financials, whilst operating in a structured manner in a fast-paced environment.

    What you'll do

    Wider responsibilities include:
    • Reporting development: You will be responsible for the ownership, maintenance, and delivery of a large volume of reporting across month end and forecasting cycles. This will require an understanding of how Chart of Account changes, commercial trends and stakeholder requirements impact our evolving reporting requirements.
    • Support system delivery: Support final month end submission, and reconciliations to ensure systems alignment. Support Monthly Rolling Forecast and Annual Budget system submissions into planning systems.
    • Technical Liaison: Be the point of contact with our IT delivery teams to maintain & improve reporting and forecasting whilst becoming an excel and finance reporting systems expert.

    • Group BI Lead: Ensure that the group CoA changes are aligned to local requirements, be the reporting expert for any accounting standard changes and restatement activity.
    • Adhoc Reporting: Support in various ad-hoc requests and queries, which could include bespoke one off reporting, investigation into actuals.


    Who You Are


    • Essential:
    - Strong analytical & problem-solving capability
    - High attention to detail
    - Comfortable at operating in speed with short deadlines
    - Able to build relationships & influence people
    - Advanced Excel: Handling large data sets and complex formulae


    • Desirable:
    - CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant
    - Telco Experience
    - Good understanding of Finance Systems (e.g. Hyperion Financial Management or similar)
    - Experience of delivering Financial/Management reporting
    - Excel VBA coding Experience
