Responsibilities

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and service, ensuring legal and other documentation is compliant with credit sanction, bank and regulatory policy in order to minimise risk.
  • ‘Deal Captain' front office role with ultimate responsibility for delivering tailored financing packages to high profile clients often within tight timescales
  • Manage and continue to build a designated portfolio of customer relationships in the unique Private Capital space, identifying and satisfying customer needs in a ‘Client First' manner, meeting the Bank's credit and profitability requirements.
  • Lead a proactive contact strategy for both prospective clients and professional and LBG introducers in order to fulfil the delivery of the sector plan.
  • Prepare and present responses to client requests for new and existing business, liaising with other Product Partners and wider Group partners to maximise the potential for overall business returns as well as tailoring solutions to clients needs
  • Lead, motivate, develop and appraise team members as required, so that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future needs of the business undertaking the recruitment process when required. Setting medium term objectives and taking responsibility for the team's performance management with guidance from a senior colleague.

    HOURS: Full Time

    WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of our 6 core sites across the UK

    About this opportunity

    With our Head of Private Capital (PC) leaving in a few months to go on parental leave we have an excellent opportunity for a director level hire to join our wider Sector business on a 12 FTC to run our Private Capital business. This is a player/coach role where the successful candidate will be responsible for increasing the quality and quantity of the business to achieve business objectives for profitable income generation and ensuring the effective management of risk. This leadership role is critical to helping continue to raise the profile of this unique client segment both internally and externally.

    What we need from you?

    • Outstanding relationship management skills, ideally with complex debt solution experience as well as experience in the family office sector (not essential).
    • A proven track record of growing a business/portfolio, developing teams, effectively influencing seniors and collaborating well with peers.
    • Excellent communication & organisational skills.
    • Ability to network effectively and act as an Ambassador for the bank in the external market.
