    Position Overview

    The “External Engagement Project Manager” is an integral part of Medical Affairs with the objective to lead and provide Healthcare Professional (HCP) Engagement subject matter expertise, supporting the compliant delivery of external engagement programs sponsored by ViiV Healthcare.

    Description/Deliverables:

    • Assure compliance of HCP engagement activities by actively managing and advising business activity owner of policies, procedures and ways of working to execute compliant and timely programs.
    • Manage the process and the provision of services by key vendors or in-house solutions, providing specialized knowledge and support to the broader ViiV organization
    • Ensure appropriate third-party oversight is in place and develop and monitor/trend third party key performance indicators including monitoring deliverables, timelines, quality and cost.
    • Develop guidance and working standards to support expansion of HCP engagement services for ViiV Healthcare.
    • First point of contact for any questions about Compliance guidelines for engaging with external experts and HCPs. Manage internal and external audit requests for HCP engagement activities.
    • Ensure engagement approval and selection of qualified HCP(s) who expertise matches the need. Draft written agreements, certify completion of the work, initiate payment, and validate disclosure of payments and transfers of value (TOV) according to State laws and Federal regulations.
    • Closely collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Therapeutic Medical Directors

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:​

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in pharmaceuticals

    Preferred Qualifications

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:​

    • Experience in event management or Commercial/Medical Affairs preferred.
    • Pharma Industry experience
    • Knowledge of Medical Affairs, Advisory Boards, Speaker Bureau, or Medical Operations
    • Technical Systems support experience
    • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions ad geographies to deliver a consistent approach.
    • Experience with event management.
    • Keen presentation skills
