Responsibilities

  • Provide support and leadership to site based electrical teams, helping to develop and mentor team members. Improve the team's skill and competency in electrical equipment to meet the GSC manufacturing and sustainability goals.
  • Drive improvement in standards and compliance with respect to local regulation, GSK standards & industry best practice in the field of electrical engineering & related topics, including: - process safety, hazardous areas, sustainability, machinery safety, fire protection & prevention, loss prevention.
  • Support the Engineering Compliance program, working in aspects of engineering outside electrical specialism, in collaboration with the global, regional and site engineering teams.
  • Establish effective relationships with site leads and key professional engineering suppliers (equipment and engineering) to support the delivery of projects and the maintenance of site assets and infrastructure.
  • Provide specialist input to electrical aspects of capital projects across all sites in the region.
  • Help with the management of the company electrical engineering standards.
  • Support electrical maintenance strategy for GSC Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with our Quality Management System requirements to ensure cGMP standards are maintained.
  • Participate fully in our quality initiatives and attend training and complete assessments as required.
  • Ensure risk assessments, risk communication and action planning are completed in accordance with our Risk Management System (RMS).
  • Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported to determine root cause and that any subsequent CAPA's are closed out in a timely manner.

    The Regional Electrical Engineering Lead will develop and deliver electrical strategies to support manufacturing activities. You will help implement and support the management of the Company Engineering Standards to ensure compliance to regulatory expectations across all Sites as well as Interface with projects teams to ensure electrical deliverables are in line with GSK practices.

    Basic Qualifications:

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

    • Degree - qualified Electrical Engineer with Professional Engineer (PE) status
    • Proven technical knowledge of manufacturing plant operational maintenance management with broad experiences across several production facilities.
    • Authorized person for HV electrical work

    Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

    • Held an electrical engineering position of authority in a multi-site/country portfolio.
    • Project planning and management of electrical infrastructure investments.
    • Superior listening skills, analytical ability to diagnose problems, resolve conflict, and develop practical solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation; able to interact with and influence all levels of individuals across a variety of organizations (without a direct reporting relationship)
    • Experience in direct interfacing with local electrical regulatory authorities and suppliers.
    • In depth demonstrable experience in operational maintenance management and asset management of electrical systems.
    • Past working experience with Hazardous Area electrical equipment will be an advantage.
