    The team you'll work with:

    Sitting within the Compliance function, our compliance advisory team help to ensure the business comply with all the necessary regulatory and policy requirements, through the provision of specialist guidance, assessing and mitigating risk and implementing appropriate controls. Our team act as a trusted partner to the business, taking a proactive and constructive approach to providing advice and compliance risk oversight.

    The value you'll add:

    As a compliance advisory Director, you'll report directly into our Head of Compliance and help her to lead the Compliance Advisory team in the provision of advice to the business, fostering a culture of collaboration across all lines of defense, as well as actively supporting (and deputising as needed.

    What you can expect to be doing:

    Leading and developing the Compliance Advisory team, fostering a culture of collaboration across all lines of defense.

    Building and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay informed about industry trends and best practice

    Participating in the oversight of product governance decision making.

    Collaborating with peers and cross functional teams to further develop a strong risk awareness and bolster the strength of the compliance function.

    Provide expert compliance advice and guidance to the whole HSBC Innovation Banking UK organisation.

    Supporting the effective implementation of the recently adopted HSBC risk management framework

    Ensure updates to regulatory frameworks and requirements are monitored and implemented.

    Requirements

    A track record of leading a team, building capability within the team, and positioning a function as being a trusted and valued advisor to the business.

    Strong communication and influencing skills to change behaviour and build a strong risk culture.

    Experience working in a regulated environment and regulatory landscape, with focus on commercial lending, payment services, Open Banking.

    Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, such as FCA and PRA, good knowledge of MIFID and or EMIR.

    Experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks, compliance programs, and risk management strategies.

    Excellent relationship management skills and ability to build strong working relationships with peers, colleagues and remotely based teams and individuals at all levels of the organisation as well as with Board Members and regulators.
