  • As a Structural engineering graduate, you will join an exciting team who work throughout the whole submarine life cycle, from concept through to activities with the operational fleet. You could be involved in designing, developing and testing complex systems, components and products, as well as supporting the build, test, commissioning and in service operation of all current, new and future classes of submarine such as our Dreadnought or Astute.

  • Outfit design – including sheet metal, deck coverings, furniture and fittings, to ensure a habitable submarine environment
  • Designing equipment to withstand shock and dynamic movements of the submarine whilst in operation

    BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site approximately 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

    Skills

    As a minimum requirement you'll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant STEM subject, Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
