    Role purpose


    Vodafone Foundation is a UK-registered charity (charity number 1193984). It uses the funding it receives from Vodafone Group Plc to deliver charitable programmes across Europe and Africa, with a core focus on using technology for positive change.


    We are looking for a Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist who can improve how Vodafone Foundation evaluates and reports its impact. You will shape how our programme teams monitor and evaluate impact, co-ordinate and collate programme reporting, find innovative ways to showcase our impact in external reporting, and identify how we can use data more effectively to support our day-to-day work and decision-making.


    The role reports to the Head of Public Benefit.


    What you'll do



    • Define and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework for Vodafone Foundation programmes, providing training and guidance where needed;

    • Co-ordinate reporting from Foundation programmes and maintain Vodafone Foundation's Public Benefit Dashboard, identifying ways to better use data in day-to-day decision-making;

    • Project manage the Foundation's Annual Report and other external reporting obligations;

    • Collaborate with Engagement colleagues to enrich external communications with insights and data;

    • Contribute to reporting to the Foundation's Audit and Risk Committee and Board of Trustees;

    • Support the Head of Public Benefit on other charity governance matters as required.


    Who you are



    • Experience of monitoring and evaluation within a charity, aid agency, donor organisation or similar. Understanding of theories of change and other concepts relevant to designing a robust monitoring and evaluation framework.

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively across countries.

    • Comfort inputting, analysing and visualising data, as well as identifying opportunities to use data to inform decision-making and organisational learning.

    • Broader understanding of charity governance and trends in the charity sector would be desirable.

    • Working with a globally dispersed team, experience working across countries and cultures would be an asset.
