    Salary: Circa £70,000 + Executive Benefits Package, including car allowance and bonus

    As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will effectively deploy corporate Commercial processes in line with business requirements, supporting our UK Navy and building relationships with overseas customers.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Providing commercial management, direction and support to UK and Export bids
    • Actively participating in business winning Capture Teams, contributing to the development of campaign plans and leading commercial proposals for potential business and the review of the full suite of proposal documents
    • Forming collaborative business relationships with internal customers/functions/other business units and external customers

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Good commercial knowledge / business acumen with experience reviewing contracts
    • Understanding complex contracts and concepts, bringing into consideration performance indicators, target costs, incentives etc
    • Articulate, with the ability to write compelling proposals and business cases
    • Working as part of commercial team, with developed communication and diplomacy skills in order to persuade and influence

    Desirable:

    • Understanding of Defence industry
    • Understands overseas contracting
    • Qualified to Degree standard or equivalent and /or experience

    The Maritime Services Commercial team:

    Working as a member of the Maritime Services commercial team as the Commercial Lead in the pursuit of new business, with a focus on some key UK MoD campaigns and a particular emphasis on export markets including the Middle East, Nordics, Europe, South America, with potential opportunities in the Far East.

    Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the delivery of the service will typically be through working with multi-disciplined campaign teams with you having the ability to influence and manage the inputs of other functions.
