  • Development of Routings (manufacturing methods) for all new products or components, in order to ensure safe, effective, efficient and quality production processes
  • Carry out effective “Process” to identify, reduce or eliminate risks to proposed manufacturing methods and processes
  • Develop Standardised Work for all manufacturing processes, defining manufacturing methods and processes required to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives
  • Develop and maintain accurate Standard Times, for all manufacturing process, to assist with product costing and capacity
  • Undertake tooling studies and manage the sourcing of new tooling required to complete a project

    Job title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

    Salary: Up to £55,210 depending on skills & experience

    What you'll be doing:

    • To lead on New Product Introduction on process layout, equipment and tooling, standardised Work Instruction Notices (WINs), investigating new technology
    • Support to Design Engineering and other departments by establishing cost estimates, and manufacturing solutions for proposed projects
    • Development of Routings (manufacturing methods) for all new products or components, in order to ensure safe, effective, efficient and quality production processes

    Your skills and experiences:

    • Minimum HNC and 3-5 years' experience in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering role or Degree with experience in Manufacturing Engineering
    • Proven track record in effective application of problem solving techniques, including root cause analysis.
    • Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI)
    • Familiarity with writing specifications, procedures and instructions
    • Contribution to Improvement processes with personal experience of delivering Lean methodologies
    • Experience in working with MRP processes.
    • Experience of working in a SAP environment is desirable
