Responsibilities

  • Leading the development of security focused architectures for complex manufacturing solutions, designing to agreed requirements and ensuring consistency of design and adherence to appropriate standards across multiple projects or initiatives
  • Establishing and producing policies, principles and practices for the selection of security architecture components
  • Taking responsibility for major aspects of security control specification, standards, technologies and overall secure design models within the manufacturing domain
  • Providing definitive and expert advice in the specialist area of manufacturing into other cyber security activities, such as incident response
  • Acting as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders and influencers for cyber security architecture activities within the manufacturing space
  • Initiating procedures to manage security risk in compliance and accordance with business security risk appetite, recommending designs and security architectural changes that aid in risk mitigation to senior stakeholders
  • Coordinating the promotion, development, acquisition and implementation of security controls and services in close liaison with those responsible for management and strategy
  • Delivering security architectural related activities in support of organisational needs and threat changes and supporting continuous service improvement opportunities
  • Contributing to reporting on and analysis of the cyber security metrics and KPIs gathered across the manufacturing domain

    Job Title: Security Architect – Manufacturing

    Salary: £75,000 + depending on experience, along with car allowance and private medical insurance

    What you'll be doing:

    • Leading the development of security focused architectures for complex manufacturing solutions, designing to agreed requirements and ensuring consistency of design and adherence to appropriate standards across multiple projects or initiatives

    Your skills and experiences:

    • An ongoing understanding of emerging cyber requirements and cyber security threats
    • A broad and comprehensive technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and technologies, with a demonstrable specialism in Operational Technology and manufacturing systems
    • Excellent understanding of international government and industry standard security policy, defence standards and best practice guidance
    • Experience defining and delivering safe and secure architecture for systems and services.
    • Experience in working within a project environment
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent worked experience preferably in a related discipline and/or relevant Cyber Security qualifications

    The Security Architect team:

    You will be joining a highly skilled and capable team of architects and analysts who are responsible for the overall design, development and fitness for purpose of the IT systems used within the Air Sector of BAE Systems to create some of the most advanced and sophisticated products used in the defence and aerospace industry today
