Responsibilities

  • Manage and support changes to systems, processes and working practices to achieve continuous operational improvements.
  • Measure and report MI, Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators. Contribute to and develop existing business relationships with partners through the provision of performance metrics and partner engagement.
  • Work closely with senior management, vendors and risk partners to ensure issues are understood clearly with the accurate level of materiality apportioned.
  • Assist key partners with programme objectives, providing confidence in delivered solutions, ensuring they are market leading and supporting the implementation of change when required.
  • Support the wide range of activities of MMO teams ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements by collaborating closely with all internal risk management functions while supporting the development and implementation of the organisation's compliance policy.
  • Manage relationships with vendors along with internal client and partners to ensure needs are met, issue resolution and implementation of optimal solutions.
  • Support a sustainable, cost-effective target operating model to support business needs, adapting as the business model evolves.

  • Ensure compliance with Group policy, procedures and guidelines, quality standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Own and manage all relevant relationships within the Group ensuring Markets Operations is working in partnership with all relevant parties in Governance and Control and design authorities.
  • Engage with industry developments and attend relevant Industry Market forums representing Lloyds Banking Group; understand how the external environment will influence change within MMO, cascade information to the wider team, and ensure further action is taken as appropriate.
  • Be forward thinking and take ownership in driving new processing models that include digital solutions, keeping pace with an evolving external digital and regulatory landscape
  • Lead, motivate, develop and appraise all team members to ensure their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs, working with HR as appropriate to ensure that the people policies and strategies support local business direction and initiatives.
  • Continually consider the personnel mix and structure of the business unit – ensure succession planning and talent profiling is a constant consideration.
  • Grow own capabilities by pursuing and investing in personal development opportunities and develops team capabilities by working within existing development framework; provides specialised training or coaching in area of expertise to others throughout the organisation.

    SALARY: £114,000 - £134,000

    LOCATION: London

    HOURS: Full-Time

    WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

    About This Opportunity

    This is an excellent opportunity to join our Markets Middle Office (MMO) team!

    You'll lead our Post Trade Regulation Change team to ensure the regulatory commitments of the Commercial Bank and Group Corporate Treasury are met across multiple regulations and product sets.

    Key Accountabilities:

    What You'll Need

    • Comprehensive understanding of financial markets products and trade flows.
    • Excellent knowledge of, at a minimum, MiFID II and/or EMIR regulatory reporting regime – including understanding of reporting requirements and eligibility determinations.
    • Leadership experience, motivating and inspiring a team to deliver against their objectives, coaching and development.
    • Demonstrable experience identifying shortcomings and implementing improvements to existing business practices and developing and delivering projects within organisational change programmes
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working with LBG colleagues and teams as well as external clients showing integrity and a client first demeanour.
    • Excellent analytical and presentation skills – both written and verbal.
