You'll be helping us be digital-first when developing new products and services, as well as enhancing existing ones by providing software development and support to each of our Global Businesses and Global Functions.

Using best-in-class technologies, you'll deliver end-to-end execution of all technology services consumed across the HSBC landscape, including change programmes and applications in production.

Business Management function is part of Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) Technology

The WPB IT Business Management function ensures strong oversight and control of Operational disciplines: finance, workforce management, vendor and governance. Stakeholder management at Tech CIO, CTO, Value Stream leads and Regional teams (both tech and business).

The role will report to the Senior Business Manager and will act as a Relationship Manager and single point of contact for the Value Stream Lead ensuring strong operational and financial discipline.

Principle Accountabilities:

· Responsible for Financial Management of Value Stream

· Have overall accountability for management and reporting of charges across Value Stream

· Provide operational oversight and support for annual planning and quarterly business review (QBR) process

· Build excellent working relationships with Value Stream Delivery and Portfolio Teams to ensure detailed understanding of future plans and requirements

· Closely collaborates with Platform teams to ensure Value Stream resource and capability profile can be met

· Identify and pursue sustainable cost saving opportunities and ensure excellent financial discipline across team

· Accountability for managing all operational and Financial matters on behalf of the Value Stream Lead

· Functionally accountable to the Senior Business Manager, the role will need to forge a strong relationship with the business

· Promote new ways of operating aligned to Platforms & Value Streams and ensure strong operational discipline

Requirements

· Extensive experience in a large Global organisation preferably in an IT department or shared service organisation

· Proven track record in Operational, Planning or Financial management role

· Strong stakeholder management / Relationship Management

· Proficient in financial management and reporting

· Proficient in Excel

· Manage a portfolio of £200M dollars +

· Familiarity with key tools including Pioneer, Discover, GPDM, Clarity, HIBS, Jira and Confluence
