    Digital Business Services (DBS) provides essential support for the bank through operations, technology, key central business services such as procurement and real estate management, and a worldwide network of Chief Operating Officers.

    Within DBS, the Deputy Chief Operating Office (DCOO) comprises a set of outcome-focused service pillars including Corporate Services, Chief Control Office, Digital Business Transformation Services, ServCo Management, Group Transactions Implementation, as well as regional oversight for Canada, Latin America and Middle East and North Africa.

    A major programme supported by the DCOO function, the Sustainability Execution Programme is coordinating group-wide delivery to achieve our Sustainability goals and commitments. Overseeing all change across the bank for progressing towards our goals in carbon dioxide emissions reductions in our balance sheet, net zero policy development & implementation, sustainable finance and investing, transitioning our customers, emissions from our operations and the extensive data, technology, risk and finance work to support.

    We are looking to expand the programme team to support in several key areas, leading the development of strategy, planning, measurement, and achievement of our goals.

    The PMO lead will report to the SEP Strategic Change Director and may have direct reports. These may be PMO staff, Project support staff or administration staff.

    In this role you will:

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

    • Hands-on experience of project management approaches, methodologies, and tools (including Clarity) is highly important.

    • Have extended practitioner experience of working in a banking environment and change & governance management programmes / projects.

    • Leading a PMO function in a complex, matrixed organisation is crucial. Demonstrating thought-leadership and gravitas whilst working with large groups of stakeholders.

    • Group Change Framework understanding is essential to success in this role, or the demonstration of working with similar change frameworks.

    • Proven ability to build trusting partnerships with stakeholders and business sponsors, influencing decisions across domains at all levels.

    This role is based in Birmingham, Bristol, Sheffield, Leeds.
