Responsibilities

  • The newly established Capex Value and Governance team is fundamental to the success of Digital & IT and to the delivery of value to our customers. In the role of leading this team, you will be responsible for steering Digital & IT capex value assurance activities and governance that ensures that capex investment drives the value expected.
  • You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the strategy and governance framework for a capex budget of £200m per year, ensuring the attainment of best value from the investment in resources within Digital and IT, be they people or technical in nature.
  • You will be responsible for the implementation of the capex strategy as well as providing regular updates on capex and resource risks and opportunities to key Digital & IT stakeholders and other relevant stakeholders outside of Digital & IT.
  • You will manage a globally located team that sits at the heart of our UK Digital & IT team, providing critical, quality subject matter expertise to the whole team.
  • You will be presenting Monthly on our Capex position, risks and opportunities including resource funding gaps.
  • You will own our capex change management process in alignment with our Vodafone UK Technology Finance business partners.

Who you are
- You will preferably have previous experience in financial management, planning & modelling.
- You will be able to assess the dynamics between business demand, resource capacity and cost and strategies to maximise opportunity/minimise risk.
- You will preferably have experience in leading a team or be passionate and developing a global team.
- You will demonstrate a passion for IT, Digital, Finance or telecommunication.
- You will feel comfortable influencing strategically and building strong customer relationships at all levels across large and diverse groups.
