Responsibilities
- Working with Vodafone technical teams to, deliver and maintain a core network.
- Network design, including availability calculations, supporting with the creation of High- and Low-level design documents.
- Working with internal technical, PMO & Operational teams to deliver solutions and designs into build & operational teams.
- To provide technical support/assistance on all Vodafone Secure Sector transmission platforms, ownership of escalated issues and drive to resolution.
- To provide Network design and build support for low-speed data services on Customer Specific Networks

Role Purpose
To provide Transmission Network Design & Capacity Management across Secure Sectors Core & Access network infrastructures.
What you'll do
- Working with Vodafone technical teams to, deliver and maintain a core network.

Who you are
- Demonstrable use of Capacity Management principles in line with the ITILs model to deliver a Capacity Plan for a large DWDM network.
- An in-depth technical working knowledge of large Transmission DWDM network infrastructures with proven experience delivering:
- Planning guidelines
- Methods of Procedure
- High/Low Level designs
- Knowledge of:
- DWDM/OTN principles
- Multiservice/Reconfigurable Switching
- Transmission Network Management Systems (NMS)
- Infinera DNA
- Ciena One Control
- Ciena MCP
- Legacy SDH/PDH Networks
- Primary level multiplex equipment to support low speed data services.
- Must be willing to undergo DV clearance
