Job description

What does the role involve?

The Senior Sourcing Process Specialist is responsible for continually innovating the design of the Business Sourcing Process, helping LBG colleagues balance pace and risk when sourcing third party goods and services. Key responsibilities are:

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end BSP design, working collaboratively with partners to achieve maximum impact and value, inside and outside of GS&SM, while meeting all regulatory and risk requirements.
  • Perform the role of lead process architect across all significant change and release management, including ongoing design and maintenance of our strategic roadmap and process maps.
  • Development of SME (Subject Matter Expert) knowledge in the team and support LBG guidance, learning and training activities.
  • Lead wider industry and internal view on sourcing process, providing feedback on process performance to drive improvement, as well as requirements for future releases to our technology partners.
  • Engage with a diverse group of colleagues and partners, providing expert advice and guidance, to ensure colleague journeys are efficient and effective.
  • Positively influence others by demonstrating Lloyds Banking Group values and behaviour and encourage this in team members.
  • Contribute to the development of GS&SM Change strategies, supporting both day-to-day use of the sourcing process and delivery of change.

Key Skills

  • A procurement professional with experience across a breadth of sourcing categories and a background of delivering successfully across complex projects, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Experience of relevant methodologies and ideally professional accreditation such as SIPOC, CIPS, agile delivery etc.
  • Experienced in the creation and ongoing maintenance of sourcing policy, processes, and procedures, within a risk management framework, and the associated guidance and training materials.
  • Strong communicator delivering communications that convey a clear understanding of the specific needs of different audiences.
  • Experienced in applying critical thinking and structured communication to tackle complex problems, and handling time-pressured requests from senior partners. This is an excellent opportunity to use your skills to build and develop collaborative relationships cross-Group and externally.
  • Adaptable and resilient; able to shift within a dynamic environment and take constructive feedback.
  • Experience in creating high performing teams and mobilising them to deliver solutions in demanding timescales.
